Welcome to
STEAM FC powered by NEC!

STEAM FC powered by NEC is an educational field trip program that teaches 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students the real-world application of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) through the lens of soccer.

Toyota Stadium Tour

  • Pick one of four lessons for students to put their mind to in our classroom. These lessons were created by Frisco ISD to meet TEKS standards. Choose from FĂștbol Physics Breakout, Goal in Motion, Pitching the Pitch, and Score a Career in Sports!

  • After learning the importance of using heart rate to understand exercise, put that knowledge to the test! Work to get your heart rate up and learn a few soccer skills along the way.

  • Through a scavenger hunt, explore the interactives and artifacts in the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Learn how NEC facial recognition technology works and the algorithms behind the Build Your Best XI interactive table.

  • Students learn the various ways that STEAM is present at Toyota Stadium and in the world of soccer. Along the way, students complete activities at each tour stop. Topics include field science, stadium art, and soccer equipment engineering.

Trip Options

In-Person Trip

In-Person trips are available Monday-Thursday throughout the school year. There are a variety of schedules to pick from to meet the needs of as many schools as possible. We have a participant range of 60-120 students per day (1:10 chaperone requirement). Admission for the in-person trip is $8 per student, except those on free and reduced lunch, who attend for free. If you need assistance with transportation, please view our Transportation Assistance Program.

When considering the schedule options below, please keep in mind that Schedules A, C, and E are recommended.

  • Schedule A 9:45 AM - 1:45 PM (Monday - Thursday)

  • Schedule B 9:45 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday - Thursday)

  • Schedule C 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Monday & Tuesday)

  • Schedule D 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday - Thursday)

  • Schedule E 10:15 AM - 2:15 PM (Monday & Tuesday)

  • Schedule F 10:15 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday - Thursday)*

*To make Schedule F work, one of the four stations must be removed from the trip schedule. This reduces the participant range to 45-90 students. Station removal will be discussed upon submission of STEAM FC Trip Request Form.

Virtual Trip

Virtual trips are available Monday-Thursday throughout the school year from 9:00 AM – 11:15 AM*. Trips are hosted by a STEAM FC Educator via Zoom with content hosted on our website. The virtual trip has a flat rate fee of $150.

*There is some flexibility with the virtual schedule. We would be happy to adjust it to work around your school schedule. Please contact us at least two weeks in advance of your trip to request a schedule adjustment and we will do our best to accommodate.
